Facebook Instant Messenger

A few days ago, TechCrunch announced that Facebook will be rolling out a chat client as part of their social networking website. Do we really need another instant messenger on facebook?

I’m already too addicted to Facebook.
I already have a Google Desktop Client that logs me in automatically and stays minimized – no reason to bother me unless someone needs to talk, or I need to talk to someone.
Facebook is about the anonymity – people browse others’ pages without anonymously.

Facebook chat is not needed.

He was carrying a newly purchased MacBook Air and made a quick (but ultimately flawed) decision while falling: sacrifice the face, protect the computer. “In doing so, he pretty much hit the pavement face first, unfortunately,” they said.
