Welcome to the home of NetID Lookup, a Firefox extension that helps you access University of Illinois Phonebook information quickly and easily.
NetID Lookup on Mozilla Addons
Instructions for use:
1. Highlight text that you would like to search in the University of Illinois PH (Phonebook) system.
2. Right-Click > Search NetID
Extra feature: If you highlight text in the “Lastname, Firstname” format, the University Phonebook will not accept that format, so the NetID Lookup extension corrects this automatically if it sees a comma in the selection! Cool beans!
Ver 1.2: Now supports Gmail
Ver 1.3: (3/6/2009) An update to the University PH System broke ver 1.2. 1.3 restores all functionality.
Ver 1.4: (6/30/2009) The release of Firefox 3.5 required a small update. The update will be approved shortly (has not been yet).
Ver 1.5: (7/10/2009) Updated to fix the Firefox Extension Global Namespace problem (thanks to http://blogger.ziesemer.com/2007/10/respecting-javascript-global-namespace.html). The extension should run faster in Firefox also.
The extension is now categorized as ‘Public’! Your old versions should now automatically update to the latest version.
