A few days ago, TechCrunch announced that Facebook will be rolling out a chat client as part of their social networking website. Do we really need another instant messenger on facebook?

1. I’m already too addicted to Facebook.
2. I already have a Google Desktop Client that logs me in automatically and stays minimized – no reason to bother me unless someone needs to talk, or I need to talk to someone.
3. Facebook is about the anonymity – people browse others’ pages without anonymously.

Facebook chat is not needed.
